The Marcum Hotel & Conference Center

Experience enhanced tradition at The Marcum Hotel & Conference Center. Nestled on the beautiful historic campus of Miami University, Ohio, The Marcum Hotel is the perfect backdrop for your next event.  With historic red brick buildings, spacious lawns, majestic trees, and formal gardens, Poet Robert Frost once described the Miami University campus as “the prettiest campus that ever there was.”  The Marcum Hotel provides the same remarkable colonial architecture and historic feel of the campus, but is also able to offer their guests newly renovated, state-of the art, modern accommodations and meeting facilities.

Unveiled in June of 2012, all guest rooms were updated with furnishings to reflect a décor inspired by the signature feel of Miami University’s campus.  The 2012 renovation also focused on increasing sustainability efforts. The Marcum Hotel now has geothermal HVAC, electric car charging stations in the parking lot, water bottle refill stations, and energy efficient windows and light bulbs.

The Marcum Hotel is a premiere multifaceted venue, capable of handling hotel visits, conferences, weddings, small events, and team building exercises.

On-site courteous, responsive and professional event planners ensure that your event is truly memorable.  Meeting rooms are flexible to accommodate large groups as well as more intimate occasions.  Additional facilities, on campus, include two gorgeous wedding chapels, a sports center, a team building ropes course, an art museum, an ice arena and scenic hiking trails.  Only a short drive from Cincinnati, Dayton and Columbus, Ohio, The Marcum Hotel has the ability to create a retreat-like atmosphere without incurring the travel expense to get away from it all.

The delicious food offered at The Marcum Hotel is second-to-none!  The Executive team of Chefs prepares menus to suit the customer’s vision with special attentiveness to flavor and freshness.  Recently, The Marcum’s experienced Chefs have taken on their latest role, as the judges for an exciting new team-building endeavor!  The Marcum Hotel is proud to announce the development of a “chili-cookoff” team building activity for corporate groups.  This one of a kind event is fun, fast-paced, and highly interactive.  Small teams must work together to create a chili recipe, using “Marcum Money” to buy fresh ingredients from the market, and prepare a chili to be judged by the panel of Marcum chefs.  As teams work together to create the best chili, they must also be aware of the additional factors of sanitation, safety, food waste, money management, plate presentation, and even writing down the song titles that are playing in the background.  The chili-cookoff activity encourages groups to get on their feet, work together, and create a physical product, which is a fantastic way to get teams motivated, energized, and collaborating!

The Marcum Hotel & Conference Center offers their guests the perfect picturesque location, flexible meeting spaces, newly renovated accommodations, fantastic food and exciting team building opportunities, all of which make The Marcum Hotel & Conference Center a truly unique and fabulous venue for your next special event!
