In all, Turbine Hall offers 40,000 square feet, divided into six rooms. The main chamber can host 1,000 people in classroom-style seating. The catering services are superb, and offer several varied menu choices. A complete meeting package is available, to ensure that there are no surprises to upset the budget.

Historically significant, Turbine Hall was originally constructed in 1916 by the Philadelphia Electric Company, intending to provide the increased demand for electricity due to war-related industries housed in Philadelphia during World War One. The design was accomplished by the famous Beaux-Arts architect John T. Windrim and engineered by W.C.L. Eglin. It took two years to complete the mammoth undertaking, which has received many architectural awards. That it still stands proud and undeniably strong nearly a hundred years later is testimony to its venerable excellence, both as a power plant and now as an outstanding venue.

Turbine Hall is also very conveniently located. Sitting along the edge of the Delaware river just 15 minutes from the city-center of Philadelphia, and a mere 20 minutes from Philadelphia International Airport, this impressive world-class venue is available (aside from previous reservations,) every day of the year. This accessibility combined with the services offered and convenient location make the Turbine one of the top East Coast convention centers and event facilities.
