Let the Website Do the Walking!
The last time I bought a car, I did all of my research online and even toured the vehicle online. When I went to the local dealership, they didn’t have the model that I was looking for, so I purchased the vehicle sight unseen. I’m sure the salesperson thought I was crazy! I never even took a test drive, when the vehicle arrived I was completely satisfied and their were no surprises. The online tour provided me with all of the elements that I needed to make a buying decision (minus the new car smell).
This type of buying has become the norm for consumers. The same goes for planners who are searching for space for their next meeting, conference or event. Planners are no longer coming to venues for site visits. They are searching online and touring virtually. Are planners able to tour your facilities online? Are you showcasing and highlighting the elements of your venue that make it so unique on your website? Are you scheduling online tours of your facilities? The Unique Venues microsites and VenueViewers are great comprehensive tools for planners to tour your venue and make a buying decision.
No need to put on your comfy shoes or grab your master key for your next venue tour, simply sit back, relax and let your website do the selling.

This is true Lisa. I do most of my shopping online. If I were to think of the reasons why I do this I would say that “Time” is a big factor. Plus the easier the purchase to transact the better. I can browse products online, view customer feedbacks, and nurtritional facts content all while doing paperwork or sending emails.
We live in a world of High Speed Internet, Fast Food, Texting and cyberdating. People are more busy now than ever before and will rely on technology to get the job done. We need to speak our customers language and give them what they want.
I’ve been really suprised by the number of venue’s that offer very little information on their website. Some provide nothing more than a floor plan with room dimensions.
