Helpful Sites To Make Travel Easier
As President of Unique Venues, I travel extensively throughout North America and parts of Europe. Personally, travel is also my passion. If you are anything like me, you have discovered, in rather blunt terms, that getting from Point A to Point B SUCKS!
But, never fear! When reading my latest Travel Leisure Magazine, I came across an article that highlighted some really great and helpful travel websites, so I thought I’d share a few of them with you.
First, there is FARECAST.com. This site will predict, based upon historical data, whether a published airfare will fluctuate within a given week. This is good for saving a few bucks when purchasing the already over-priced airline ticket.
SEATGURU.com will help you find the seat on your flight with the most legroom and comfort. For those that know me, you know that I don’t break any records for long legs, but when it’s time to fly across the country, it sure helps to have a comfortable seat. All you need to have is your flight number and date of travel and the exact plane configuration that you will be on will appear. They cover 62 airlines and 74 plane models.
Not planning to fly, but do the drive instead? Try TRAFFIC.com for real-time information on delays, construction, speed limit restrictions and even traffic-camera locations.
Isn’t it good to know that in this day of seriously impaired travel, there are visionaries who have developed websites to make our trip just a bit easier? Know any other sites that make travel easier? Let us know about it!
