2008 was a CRAZY year! Are you with me?

As we embark on 2009, I want to take a moment to wish all a very happy and prosperous New Year.  We all have a great deal of challenge ahead of us and I am confident that we will collectively weather this latest barrage of storms.

The good news is that we, Unique Venues members, cater to the casual and professional planners and groups that are not looking for the 400K AIG type meetings with frivolous spending.  We are a grounded, practical, high-quality collection of meeting venues that can offer affordable, sound meeting, conference and special event experiences that make sense in these troubled economic times.  Make sure you focus on your practical qualities as you sell your venue over the coming year.  Be proud that you do not cater to the over-indulgent, glutenous groups.  They’re the ones that have to adjust down this year.
